Obituary of Everett Ray Marr
On Friday, November 15, 2002, ending a period of failing health, Mr. Everett Marr, of Saint John, joined his loving wife, "Allie" (Mary Alice McMullin), who passed away in January of this year. Everett was the son of the late Thomas and Helen (Flewelling) Marr of Saint John. He was predeceased by his brother and good friend, Art of Quispamsis, and he will be missed by his brother, Don of Spain. In 1967, after many years of bricklaying, Everett founded and operated Fundy Masonery Ltd. He was an outstanding (55 years) member of Local #1 Bricklayer's and Allied Craftsmen Union. Golfing and the camaraderie of the Rockwood Park Golf Course filled his summer days after retirement, and his love of boats showed in his crafting of scale wooden boats in his workshop, when the days grew cooler. Mr. Marr will be sadly missed by his children; Sean Marr, Jacqueline LeRoy (Michael), all of Saint John, and Terri Horton (Paul) of Quispamsis, his grandchildren, Suzanne, Justin, Matt (Robin), Jennifer, Stephanie, Michael, Katie, and Josh, his great-grandson, Michael, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506) 634-7424, with visiting on Tuesday only from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 20, 2002, at 2:00 PM from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Old Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. www.brenansfh.com
