Obituary of Marguerite Ella Molasky

It is with appreciation of a life well lived, that the family of Marguerite Molasky, loving wife of the late Frank Molasky, announces her passing which occurred on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home. Born on January 27, 1919 in Norton, she was a daughter to the late Benjamin and Mary (Nickerson) Steele. Marg held many positons in her working years; she was employed with McAvity’s, the Red Cross as a homemaker, Ruth Ross Nursing Home as a Nursing Assistant and during World War II, she manufactured airplane parts in Campbellton. She volunteered her time as Treasurer and Secretary for Best Years Fellowship, and enjoyed assisting with Meals on Wheels. Marg was a life-long member of the WCTU and was the longest standing member of First Wesleyan Church. Marg took pleasure in reading and knitting, but above all, she relished in the time she spent with her family. Marg will be lovingly remembered by her children: Carolyn (Ed) Appleby, Deborah (George) Thorne, and Allan (Linda) Molasky, her grandchildren: Amy Shanks, Christopher Thorne, Jeremy Thorne, Jeffrey Molasky and Angela Molasky, 10 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and members of her extended family. Besides her parents and husband of 41 years, Frank, Marg was predeceased by her daughter Marie (Johnny) Norwood, Granddaughter Erin Appleby and her brothers: William, George, Stanley and Clarence Steele Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint Johh (634-7424) where visitation will be held on Monday, January 16 from 6:30 – 8:30. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 17 at 12:00 PM from Brenan’s Chapel. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Erin Appleby Fund.
