Obituary of Barbara Ruth Green
Green, Barbara (nee Dryer). Born June 24, 1927, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2017, with family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Nathan, devoted mother and mother-in-law of Steven (Margaret Anne Harris) and Diane (Erwin) Wanderer. Adored grandmother of Jason (Tonya) and Lori Green, Adam Wanderer and Sarah (Ian) Bezanson. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Sevilla Dryer and brother Howard. She leaves behind her beloved great grandsons, Lee, Lex, Beau, Axl and Blair. She also leaves to mourn her cousin Trudy Blumenthal and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was modern beyond her time having attended McGill University studying Science and working in business alongside her husband Nathan at Greens Restaurant Limited. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her many friends, (more recently at Chateau Champlain) as well as traveling in her younger years. The family would like to thank the staff at the Shannex Parkland for their excellent care, especially in keeping her so comfortable at the end of life. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A graveside service will be held at Shaarei Zedek Cemetery on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 10:00 AM. For those who wish, rememembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
