Obituary of Paul Grenville Logan
The family of Paul Grenville Logan, loving husband of over 58 years to Patricia (Veniot) Logan, is heartbroken to announce his passing at home on Monday, January 29, 2018 surrounded by his loving wife and children. Born on February 23, 1936 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Francis J. and Pearl G. (Lord) Logan. Paul was employed over 35 years at Moosehead Breweries as a truck driver. He also worked in his younger years at the Port of Saint John. Paul lived his entire life in the north end of the city. In his youth, he was an avid ball player. His love of fishing and nature lead to the building of his camp in Lepreau over 35 years ago. He spent much of his time at the family camp, enjoying the outdoors, ATV-ing and especially fishing with the "boys". Paul and Pat enjoyed many years wintering in Largo, Florida where many lasting friendships were formed. He was truly a kind and gentle soul. Besides his loving wife, Pat, Paul is also survived by daughters, Pamela Henderson (Bruce) and Paula Manuel (Wayne); son, Derek Logan (Darlene Steeves); grandchildren, Laura Manuel (Jonathan Currie), Jared Manuel, Mitchel, Joshua and Connor Logan; brothers, Joseph Logan (Lillian) and Francis Logan (Betty); as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by granddaughter, Mandy Dawn; sisters, Anna Titus, June McGraw and baby Joyce and brothers-in-law, Wallace Titus and Gerard McGraw. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church, 316 Somerset Street, Saint John on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, Bobby’s Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice.
