Obituary of Arthur Edgar MacAulay
The death of Arthur Edgar MacAulay, husband of Norma (Loder) MacAulay, occurred on November 3, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Sydney Mines, NS, he was the son of the late Arthur and Katherine (McCarthy) MacAulay. He was employed with School District #8 as a security guard. Besides his wife he is survived by his sons, Paul (Cheryl) of Newcastle, NB, Joseph 'Joe' (Alberta) of Calgary, Ab, David (Paula) of Cold Lake, Ab and Henry (April) of Fredericton, NB; his daughters, Anne MacAulay of Halifax, Elizabeth 'Betty' Comeau of Newcastle, Brenda Hawes (Garry) of Trenton, On, Jennifer (Paul Melvin) of Saint John, his brother, Ronald 'Little Ron' (Pat) of St. Catherines, his sisters Edna Crowe of Saint John, Erma Confiant of St. Catherines, and 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth 'Betty' Carr; his brothers, Wilson, Aulay and Edison; and an infant grandson. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2003, at 2:15 PM, from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
