Obituary of Margaret Alice Mullin
MULLIN (Lang, nee Staples), Margaret Alice "Peg" - Passed away peacefully at Sara Vista Long Term Care Home in Elmvale, Ontario, at the age of 92. Wife of Robert Mullin (deceased) of Miramichi, N.B., and formerly wife of William Lang (deceased) of Saint John, N.B. Peg was pre-deceased by her brother Joseph Staples (Geraldine) of Laval, PQ, and her two eldest children William (Mick) Lang of Calgary, AB, and Maureen Lang of Saint John, NB. She is survived by her sister Carmen Cormier (Paul) of Quispamsis, NB; and three children, Kathryn Lang of Elmvale, ON, Eileen Lang (Ed Mayer) of Carver, MA, and Pat Lang of Nanaimo, BC; also Bob’s son Jock Mullin and his wife Jay and family of St Eustache, PQ. These, along with grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, friends, and co-worker friends from the Food Basket will miss her greatly. Peg loved nothing better than to see her family or friends walk in the door to visit, whether for a cup of tea, or a fortnight’s stay, and she hated to see them go. A deeply spiritual woman, Peg loved her church life and served as she was able to do. She was a member of the Holy Trinity CWL. She and Bob welcomed and mentored new members of the church and served at both the church’s food bank and the downtown Food Basket. Peg prayed fervently and faithfully for those she knew and for her community. Her heart was a wellspring of love, and she shared it with tenderness, grace, humour and compassion. She will be missed. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A private family interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Reception at Brenan’s Reception Centre on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 2-4 PM.
