Obituary of Dorothy Beatrice Thompson
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dorothy Beatrice Thompson announces her peaceful passing on which occurred on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Carlton Kirk Lodge. Born in Westmeath, Ontario on December 28, 1932, Dorothy was a daughter to the late Clifford and Laura (McBride) Davis.
She was a seamstress all her life and loved gaming, playing with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Jim (Lori) and Bob; grandchildren Chris, Tammy (Keith Hayes), Matthew (Karla Floyd), Benjamine (Lori Smith), and Misty Dawn; ten great grandchildren, Ella, Cody, Connor, Owen, Jaxon, Malachi, Charli, Samuel, Noah, and Elias; along with several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Dorothy is predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Murray; her brothers, Harold and Earl; sister, Wymena; and her daughter in laws Muriel and Judi.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) where visitation will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023, from 6-8 PM. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 10 AM at Brenan’s Funeral Home with interment to follow at Fernhill Cemetery.
