Obituary of Anthony Lignos
It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Chicken Lignos on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. Born February 2, 1970, he was a son of the late Tiny Scullion and Matrona Josephine "Toni" Lignos.
Chicken was a loving family man with many friends. He was an awesome brother and father who was generous, hilarious, loved baseball, and told the best stories. He will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
Chicken is survived by his sons, Ethan and Dominik; sisters, Athena Brittain (Brad) and Michelle Stevens (John Allain); aunts and uncles: Mike Lignos (Joan), Jeanette Lignos, Carol Blizzard Lignos, Renna Morris (Bill), and Keltie Brown; nephews, Brandon and Kyle Brittain; and several cousins and friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his grandparents: Eleftherious and Marie (Nairn) Lignos; and uncles: George, Leo, and Nick Lignos.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 2 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 2 pm from Brenan’s Chapel. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
