Dear Bertha & Family, We were very saddened to hear of Ray's passing and extend our heartfelt sympathies and condolences for your loss. I remember having many chats with Raymond when he had his studio/gallery space on Canterbury Street. He always was a kind gentle and quiet type, but always pleasant. He loved to paint and to volunteer for the Saint John Arts calub. Our caring thoughts and prayers are with you all, as you reflect on his life on contributions. Most sincerely,
R

Ray and I have been great friends over the many years we were involved with the Saint John Art Club. He looked after our artist's library, as well attending the art gallery for many, many years taking care of patrons who came into the gallery, usually on Saturdays. . Ray served on the Board of Directors for the Saint John Art Club as well. Ray was always a helpful, quiet man because of that, whenever he spoke, we would listen carefully to what he was saying. We shared many a giggle as we worked together over the many years he was involved. He will be missed in the Art Community.

Il have such good memories of my uncle who always made me laugh as a child pretending to hide his lost thumb...I would laugh for hours... I loved bugging him...and as an adult, enjoyed many long discussions about art, and films, and general topics. He was very forgiving towards my dad, and this made me love him all the more... I will miss his sense of humor, his french accent, his never ending patience with me and his love and zest for learning new skills even past eighty years old! He was my uncle, but he was also my friend...we never got to say goodbye, but hopefully we will meet again in the kingdom of heaven...

Dear Ray, you have left this earth the same way you lived your life, quietely without fanfare! In reading over your life resumé I was somewhat suprisesd to learn of your numerous contributions to the art world. You never boasted, never made others feel inadequate when discussing art. You and most of your family always impressed me with your artistic hidden talents and your enormous knowledge of the world and its current affairs. Ray, you were a gentle soul.i will remember you as such.. I have a wonderful last souvenir of you at your brother Geralds funeral. Be well!
