Obituary of Margaret Edith Hargrove
The death of Mrs. Margaret Edith (Ducey) Hargrove of Saint John, wife of the late Eugene Lewis Hargrove, occurred on Friday, September 27, 2002 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, Margaret was the daughter of the late James and Julia (Dunham) Ducey. Margaret had been employed as the supervisor of housekeeping at the Dr. Robert's Hospital School, from where she had retired. She was a life long member of St. James' Church (Broad Street), and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69, Secretary of Saint John District. She was very active with the Liberal Party. She is survived by one son, Robert "Bob" Hargrove (Debbie) of Saint John, one sister, Eileen Vantassel (Charles) of Saint John, four grandchildren, Julie Carleton (Brian), Allan Hargrove (Lori), Linda Martin, and Brian Hargrove, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband and parents, a twin brother, Elvin Ducey, and a sister Jean Daley. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424, with visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The memorial service will be held on Monday, September 30, 2002 at 2:15 PM from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. There will be a R.C.L. Tribute service on Sunday at 7:00 PM.
