Obituary of Clarence W. Holmes

The death of Clarence W. Holmes, husband of Lena Holmes, occurred on January 10, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late James and Mary E. (Hogan) Holmes. He served during WW II with the Canadian Army. He was employed with the Department of Veteran's Affairs and the Department of Transportation before his retirement. Besides his wife he is survived by his sons Clarence Victor and his Sandra of Saint John, George of Saint John, his grandchildren Tim, Victor, George and Jonita and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Although there be no visiting, following cremation at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2003, at 2:00 PM, from Kingdom Hall, Magazine Street. Remembrances made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
