Obituary of Conway D. Davis

The death of Conway D. Davis of Saint John, husband of Rheta Macaulay-Davis, occurred on Friday, November 1, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Conway was born in Illinois and came to Canada in 1996. He had a brilliant career in Shipbuilding in the United States and later as Vice President of Saint John Shipbuilding Ltd. After completing his career at Saint John Shipbuilding, he established his own consulting company of Davis International. He was an avid sportsman and member of the Defense Science Advisory Board, Society of Naval Engineers, Board of the Saint John Boy's and Girl's Club, Board of Opera New Brunswick, Board of Water Fowlers Association, member of the Cliff Club and was Vice President of the New Brunswick Wildlife Federation. He will be sadly missed by his brother, Wendell Davis of Illinois, children, April Davis of Los Angeles and Alison and Carlton Combs and grandchildren, Carlton, Bridget and Candace Combs, all of Las Vegas, wife Rheta Macaulay-Davis, stepchildren, Kelly Goddard and Peter Cruise, step-grandchildren, Cruise and Shelby Goddard and Meaghan Daigle-Cruise, step-nieces, Wendi Arsenault (Mark Goddard of Saint John and Jeanie Thomas and her son Jackson of Toronto, ON. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday 7-9 PM and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 4, 2002 at 1:00 PM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
