Obituary of Bradley Michael Whipple
The death of Bradley Michael "Brad" Whipple of 20 McLellan Street, Saint John, occurred unexpectedly on Monday, October 21, 2002, while working in Heredia, Costa Rica, Central America. Born in Saint John, on August 5, 1977, he was the son of Robert and Trina (Curran) Whipple of Saint John. Brad graduated from Saint John High School in 1995, the University of New Brunswick-Fredericton, Kinesiology program, in 1999 and then obtained his International Languages Teaching Certificate (TESL) in Halifax, NS. Brad was a facilitator at the Modern Language Center at UNB, Saint John and Fredericton and worked and studied in Siennea, Italy, Torreon, Mexico and most recently was working at the Hispano American University in Heredia, Costa Rica. He was an avid sportsman and a caring and giving person who loved languages and meeting new people, which all combined to give him his wings to travel. Besides his parents, Brad is survived by his paternal grandmother, Ramona Whipple of Saint John, his maternal grandfather, Stanley Curran of Saint John, one sister, Christa Whipple of Saint John and many aunts, uncles, cousins and large circle of local and international friends. He will be sadly missed. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424), with visiting on Sunday 7-9 PM and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at the First Wesleyan Church, Boars Head Road, Saint John, on Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at 1:00 PM. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to the UNBSJ, Modern Language Center, c/o P.O. Box 5050, Saint John, NB, E2L 4L5, or the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
