Obituary of William Emery Dykeman
The death of William (Bill) Emery Dykeman, husband of C. Jeanne (Belyea) Dykeman, occurred on September 28, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Ronald W. and Alice (O'Malley) Dykeman. He was an accountant having worked for various firms in the Greater Saint John Area during his career. He was a well known sportsman having played baseball, basketball and softball. He was a member of Portland United Church and the United Commercial Traveler's Council # 755. He will be missed by all who know and loved him. Besides his wife he is survived by his children Lynn and her husband Dan Stackhouse of Grand Bay-Westfield, Cyndy and her husband Jim Anderson of Fredericton, Steven and his wife Leslie of Burlington, ON, his sisters Betty Vandenberg of Halifax, NS, Shirley and her husband Ken Margeson of Moncton, his brothers Robert Dykeman of Saint John, David Dykeman and his wife Monique of Oakville, ON, Earle Dykeman of Saint John, his grandchildren Jennifer, Heather, Alisson, Gavin, his five great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Dykeman. Although there will not be visiting, following cremation at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2002, at 2:00 PM, from Portland United Church. Remembrances made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
