Obituary of F. Reginald Younker
The death of Mr. F. Reginald (Reg) Younker, of Grand Bay- Westfield, NB, occurred on Friday, September 27, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Kingston, PEI, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Beer) Younker. Reg was a long time resident of Saint John, but had resided in Grand Bay-Westfield for the last five years. He had been employed with Lawson Motors as the Office Manager. He was a past member of Bright Spot Club, Kiwanis Club of Saint John, and the Cerebral Palsy Association. He was also a member of the YMCA, and was past director of Exhibition Park. He was predecease by his first wife, Alma Gertrude, and his second wife, Mary Viola. He is survived by his sister, Ruth McQuarrie (Ray) of Hampton, PEI, his daughter, Linda Ann of Carleton Kirk Nursing Home, his son Barrie Reginald (Jamie) of Grand Bay-Westfield, his granddaughter, Amie Linda of Saint John, grandson, Craig Mitchell Barrie of Grand Bay-Westfield, and his canine companion, Sonny. A private graveside service will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Carleton Kirk Nursing Home would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424.
