Obituary of Richard Thomas Allen

The death of Richard Allen occurred unexpectedly at his home on Thursday January 9, 2003. The son of the late Wilmot and Jean (Baxter) Allen he is survived by his wife Joanne ( Boudreau) and his three son's Stuart (Peggy Murray) of Rothesay, Stephen (Kristina O'Donnell) of Hampton and David ( Sue) of Saint John, one brother Bernard of Barnesville and two sisters Margot Sutton of Saint John and Suzanne Whalen, four grandchildren Amanda, Keenan, Erica, MacKenzie and several nieces and nephews. Richard had worked at Irving Tissue for many years and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to snowmobile, hunt and fish. He is survived by his close friends John Wood, Ralph Irving, Alan Johnston, Elmer Martin, Neil Leard, Clifford Hayward, Bernie Allen, Terry Milne, and Dave Warner. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held on Monday January 13, 2003 at 10:00 am from Brenan's Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424).
