Obituary of Carleton M. Chisholm
The death of Mr. Carleton M. Chisholm, formerly of Rothesay, NB, wife of Marjorie E. (Hamm) Chisholm, occurred on Friday, December 27, 2002, at Kennebec Manor Nursing Home, at the age of 88. Born in Middle Musquodoboit, NS, he was the son of the late George H. and Arabella (Higgins) Chisholm. Mr. Chisholm was educated in Kentville, NS, graduated from Teachers College in Truro, NS and attended Dalhousie University. He taught in Halifax and Saint John Schools and had served as Principal at Aberdeen, Centennial, Winter Street and Rockwood Park Schools, before his retirement. He formerly served as an assistant Minister and Elder of Centenary Queen Square United Church and was a tenor soloist for over 20 years. Besides his wife, Marjorie, of 61 years, he is survived by daughters, Joan Neal of Toronto, ON, Jacquelyn Trask (Mark) of Rothesay and Marilyn Chisholm of Chamcook, NB, one sister, Evelyn Middlemas of Berwick, NS, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Sheldon P. and John Chisholm. By request of the family, there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), on Monday, December 30, 2002 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances to the Saint John Regional Hospital, Dr. Trask Memorial Library, or the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated. www.brenansfh.com
