Obituary of Charlotte A. McKim

Charlotte A. McKim, passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family Friday, July 18, 2003 at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, NS. Charlotte was the loving wife and best friend of George. She was also the devoted, patient and kind mother of Megan, Darcy and Ryan. She wisely opened her heart to their partners; Stephen Doucette, Krista Carr and Jill DeWitt. She leaves behind a ray of sunshine, Cara Elizabeth, her only grand-daughter, as well as her brothers, Jim (Madeline), Andy and David (Shani) Moore, niece Lori Moore, nephews Peter Moore and Jeff Clark, aunts; Elizabeth, Audrey and Norma and one uncle, John. She was pre-deceased by her parents J. Hawley and Selena Moore, and her foster daughter Cara Buck. Charlotte was a teacher at Hazen White, St. Peters and Princess Elizabeth Schools. She was an active member of St. John's (Stone) Church as well as a board member on New Dawn L'Arche, Saint John. Charlotte had beautiful red hair- without the temper. She befriended life in a quiet, unassuming manner. She loved early morning workouts at the YMCA, hiking, cross-country skiing, and kayaking. Charlotte has gone to a peaceful resting place and will be greatly missed by those who loved her. Donations to New Dawn Community or a charity of choice would be preferred to flowers. Visiting will take place Tuesday, July 22, 2003 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at St. John's (Stone) Church, Carleton St., Saint John, NB. Funeral will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. with a private family interment at Fernhill Cemetery.
