Dorrington, Marjorie "June" –
It is with appreciation for a life well-lived that the family of June Dorrington, loving wife of the late Clarence Dorrington, announces her passing which occurred on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born in Cambridge, MA on January 27, 1930, she was a daughter of the late John and Hildegaurd (Davidson) Austin.
June was a caring and devoted Registered Nurse who worked at both the Saint John General and Regional Hospitals in the O.R., Recovery and Rehab units. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed living at the Admiral Beatty Complex, where she was able to continue caring for the more elderly residents, and live an active social life.
June will be missed by her children: Kimberly Pearson (Ron) and Jack Dorrington (Tammy); her grandchildren, Marie, Ashley (Cale), Emily (Jacob), Alexander, Rachael (Brandon), Allison, Danielle and Amanda; great grandchildren, Blake, William, Cash, Carys, Callie and Finley; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Clarence, June was predeceased by a granddaughter, Katie Hetherington, and her siblings, Shirley, Phyllis and John.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A celebration of June’s life will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 12:00 pm from Brenan’s Reception Centre. Private interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery.
