Obituary of Marion Virginia Campbell
The death of Marion "Dolly" Campbell of Saint John, beloved wife of the late Kenneth Campbell occurred on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 28, 1922 in Nineveh, Lunenburg County, NS, she was the daughter of the late Craswell and Clara (Johnson) Lohnes.
Marion dedicated her life to caring for the needs of her family and always treasured the times spent with those she loved. She enjoyed walks, reading, jigsaw puzzles and in her younger years gardening.
Marion is survived by her children, Carol Burgess (Michael) of Saint John and Brian Campbell (Debbie) of the Kingston Peninsula; cherished grandchildren, Amanda Burgess, Angie and Jeremy Campbell; precious great-grandson, Jordan Campbell; special nephew, Byron Veinot of Halifax and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her sisters, Glennie, Doris, Mildred, Cavell and Daisy; as well as brothers, Henry and in infancy, Warren.
Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will take place from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue or Romero House.
