Obituary of Frederick Harry Little
It is with great sadness that the family of Frederick Harry Little, loving husband of Paula, announce his passing on September 17, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on July 6, 1946, he was a son of the late Harry and Kathleen (Rankin) Little.
Fred was an entrepreneur of Saint John, being involved in many business – from owning a convenience store, running the canteens at Rockwood and Dominion Parks, as well as running the Rockwood Park bumper boats, batting cages and mini golf. He helped found the West Side Business Association as well as the West Side Santa Claus Parade. He also helped organize the Fundy Bay Festival and the Senior Lunch entertainment at Lily Lake. A member and chairmen of entertainment for years at Legion Branch 69, Fred even brought the Sergeant Wilson Army Show in all the way from Holland. Above all else, Fred loved his family, friends and community. Fred loved his current job with Discover Saint John, being able to explain to everyone how great this city is and to remind them of his favourite saying, "KEEP SMILING"! He will be missed by all who knew him.
Besides his wife Paula, he will be lovingly remembered by his sons: Dan Little (Nicole) and Andy Nason (Michelle); daughters: Tami Champion (Bob) and Martina Nason; brother Bob Little (Dawna); sisters: Marie McGrath (Joe), Sandra Little, Maryann McCarthy and Patsy Loeman (the late Kenneth); grandchildren: Rebecca, Brittany, Max, Zach, John, Madeline, Kelsey, Cohen, Jack and Kacey; great-grandchildren: Meredith, Colby, Kristin, and Klarity; as well as several nieces and nephews.
