Obituary of Roseanne Morris
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Roseanne Morris, beloved wife of Philip Morris, announce her passing on Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on July 11, 1943, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Drummond) Jackson.
Roseanne loved her involvement with the Royal Canadian Legion and was, in fact, the former President of both the Ladies Auxiliary and Legion Branch 64. She had many interests including cooking, sewing, gardening and bowling. She was a real pet lover and adored her canine companion, Cooper. She always looked forward to her camping trips to the Cambridge Narrows. Above all, Roseanne loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Roseanne will be missed by her husband of 56 years, Philip; son, Scot Morris of Saint John; daughters, Kim Morris of Ottawa Ont., Carol-Anne Morris (Roger) of Trenton, Ont. and Michele Shannon (Sean) of Saint John; grandchildren, Anne, Samantha, Shayne, Alyssa, Brianna and Cassandra; great-grandson, Grayson.
In addition to her parents, Roseanne was predeceased by her son, Philip and brother, John Jackson.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday, October15, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Tribute to a Veteran service will take place during the evening visitation at 7 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 12:00 PM from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances in Roseanne’s memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. www.BrenansFH.com.
