Obituary of Vincent Otty Jones

The passing of Vincent "Vinny" Otty Jones, husband of the late Mildred Lillien (Murphy) Jones of Saint John, NB, occurred on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on April 15, 1934, he was a son of the late Walter and Eva (Vail) Jones. In his early years, Vinny worked at McAvity’s before moving to the Irving Oil Refinery, where he worked for many years as a machinist until his retirement. Vincent is survived by his sisters: Marilyn Bruce (George) and Valerie Stackhouse (Charles); brother, Victor Jones (Ellen) along with cousins, nieces, nephews and other members of his extended family. In addition to his parents and wife, Vincent is predeceased by his sisters: Elsie and Lois; brothers: Maurice, William and Leo. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, 634-7424. In keeping with Vincent’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in Vincent’s memory may be made to Romero House or a charity of the Donor’s Choice.
