Obituary of Rino Joseph Morin
It is with great sadness that the family of Rino Joseph Morin, husband of Claudette Frances Morin, announce his passing, which occurred on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on June 11, 1936 in Drummond, NB, he was the eldest son of the late Ludger & Laurette (Cote) Morin.
Rino was the "Rock" for the Morin Family. He will be best remembered for his outstanding moral character, gentle wise counsel, his unwavering love, concern and generosity for us all while always being a true gentleman.
He obtained his R.I.A and furthered his education by obtaining his C.M.A. designation. He was a well-respected employee at J.D. Irving for 47 years. He was a Knights of Columbus Member (6770 Council, 3rd Degree) for over 50 years. Rino served as treasurer for the Harbour Bridge Commission and was actively involved for many years with St. Rose of Lima Church.
Besides his wife, Rino is survived by his children: Michael (Mary-Ellen), Karen (Larry Madray), Brenda (John Jenner) and Stephen (Stephanie Williams); grandchildren: Jennie, Matthew, David, Nolan, Michelle, Kristian, Alec, Ryan, Avery and Jackson; five great-grandchildren; brothers: Roland (Carol), Louis (Jeannine), Joseph (Jocelyn), Pierre (Madelaine), Clifford (Diane), Gaetan, Gilman, Alfred (Laura), Onil (Denise); sisters: Charlene Page (Camille), Arlene Levesque (Valdor), Verna Ann Moran (Cap), Johanne Beaulieu (Camille), Dina Davidson (Jim); step-mother, Jeannine, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Rino was also predeceased by daughter, Pauline.
The family would like to thank the staff of 4CN, 3BN and Extra Mural for the care and comfort offered to Rino and his family.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 31 Gondola Point Road, Rothesay, NB on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB or Parkinson Canada.
