I'm so sorry about your sister, Carmel. She was a wonderful lady and did such great work throughout her life. I have good memories of our trip with her and Theresa to Powell River, with the group from Seton Villa. Sincerely, Lorraine Milani

Sr Carmel Stancato was a wonderful woman. I met her for the first time during the summer of 1997 when she was stationed in Saint John briefly. She joined the pastoral team then serving at the SJRH. Her service was spent visiting patients, especially those at the Cancer Ward on the fifth floor. My husband was there then. Sr Stancato visited him many times, practically every day and she brought joy to his life during July, 1997. Later she and I became friends and I will always treasure the times I spent with her at Ruth Ross Residence. Sister's parents immigrated from Italy to Western Canada following the end of WWI. She was justifiably proud of her Italian heritage. I considered it a privilege to have known her. I already miss her.
