Obituary of Roxanne Elizabeth Amer
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Roxanne E. Amer announces her passing, which occurred unexpectedly on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at her residence. Born in Atlanta, GA on August 15, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Hamilton and Patricia (Patterson) Dumas.
Roxanne had a big heart, and loved helping people, especially senior citizens. She served on various boards and committees involving programs for seniors. Roxanne lived in Chicago for many years, then Atlanta for a short while before moving back to Saint John in December of 2018. She enjoyed being close to her siblings and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Roxanne will be missed by her husband Mohamed; children, Taryn Giddings (Brian) and Tyrell Brown (D’Andrea); her beloved grandchildren, Miles & Olivia Giddings, and Taelor & Jordyn Brown; her siblings, Moody Dumas, André Dumas and Jenna Dumas (God-daughter) ), Mavis White (Carl) and Tasha Dumas; as well as many loved nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 2:00 pm in Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension at a later date.
