Obituary of Joan Eleanor Garland
It is with profound sadness that the family of Joan Garland, loving wife to the late Lloyd Garland, announces her passing which occurred on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her family by her side. Born on September 25, 1932, Joan was a daughter of the late William and Hazel (McGrath) Knox.
Joan will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Cindy (Hugh) Macdonald, her grandchildren: Stephanie Law, Jackie (Mike) Coates, Connor Law (Kristina Haw) and Vanessa Law (Barry Chamberlain), her great-grandchildren: Hailey, Korynn and Madison. along with several nieces, nephews and members of her extended family.
Besides her parents and husband Lloyd, Joan was predeceased by her siblings: Pauline Harper and Eddie Knox.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 20 from 2-4 and 6-8. A Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Thursday, February 21 at 12:00 PM with interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
