Obituary of Barbara Mary Roberts
Our dearest Mother, Barbara M. Roberts, born on September 21 1927, passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 13, 2019 at 10:08 AM at the Loch Lomond Village in Saint John, NB.
Barb is survived by three sons, Glen (Peggy), Sonnie (Cindy) and Dean (Jennifer) as well as four daughters, Susan (Peter), Linda, Joy (Charles) and Ruth (Paul). Barb is also survived by many Grand and Great Grand Children. Barb was pre-deceased by her parents and her son, John Charles. It is without doubt that Barb loved her family deeply and enjoyed visits and frequent morning chats. In her spare time Barb enjoyed knitting, crafting and of course the "Union Street Bingo"!
A very special "thank you" goes out from Barb to all of her friends and family for being there in the good times and the bad. By Barbs request, there will not be a formal service. A burial service will be held in the spring when the grass is green and the air is fresh with the smell of flowers. Remembrances can be made to a cause of the donor’s choice at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424). Online condolences can be placed at www.brenansfh.com
When I’m Gone
When I come to the end of my journey and I travel my last weary mile, just forget if you can that I ever frowned and remember only my smile.Forget unkind words I have spoken, remember some good I have done.Forget that I ever had heartache and remember I’ve had loads of fun.Forget that I’ve stumbled and blundered and sometimes fell by the way.Remember I’ve fought some hard battles and won ere the close of the day. Then forget to grieve for my going. I would not have you sad for a day.But in summer just gather some flowers and remember the place where I lay. Please come in the shade of the evening when the sun paints the sky in the west.Stand a few moments beside me and remember only my best …
We love you Mommy!!!
