Obituary of John Joseph Williston
The death of Joe Williston of Saint John occurred on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at his home. Born on September 9, 1966 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Charley and Patricia (DeBow) Williston. During his working career, Joe was employed as a delivery driver. He always enjoyed camping trips with his children and was an avid sports fan. Joe loved music, especially Bob Dylan. He also enjoyed reading and will be sadly missed by his family and dear friends. Joe is survived by his sons, Dylan Williston of Saint John and Adam Williston (Nancy) of Ontario; precious grandchildren, Kayla and Tyson; siblings, Rick Williston (Sharyl) of Quispamsis, Cheryl Luck (Troy King) of Saint John, Beth Williston (Brian Martin) of Toronto and Mary Allison Williston (Jon LeBlanc) of Quispamsis; nieces and nephews, Jennifer McNulty (Mike), David and Shannon Luck, Ryan and Matthew Williston and Will and Claire Martin; great-nephews, Carter and Charley McNulty; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, David Williston. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, May 14, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Peter’s Church, 50 Clarendon Street, Saint John on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society of NB or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB.
