Obituary of Sidney J. Scott
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Sidney Joseph Scott, beloved husband and father, at Kennebec Manor on March 4, 2019. Born on March 23, 1933 in Hartland, NB to his mother, Maizie Mary Selina (nee Beaman) and John Edward Scott. He was just shy of his 86th birthday!
He was a man of many talents, owning and operating his own business, Scott’s Body Shop, for many years. He enjoyed hockey- watching and playing. Boxing was also a huge part of his younger life and he used to spar with Golden Gloves Boxers and almost became one, but he had to work.
He is survived by his children: Beth, Skipper, Molly, and Shera; along with grandchildren: Darren, Scott, She-ra, Craig, Shaylene, Summer, Ashley, Teah, Chelsea, and Shyanne; and several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Lenny. In addition to his parents, spouse, and daughter, Mary Selina, he was also predeceased by his brother, George.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424).
Those who wish may make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB.
