Obituary of Robert William Miller
Robert Miller, of Summerville, NB, passed away on September 12, 2018. Born on October 6, 1931 in Saint John, Bob was the youngest son of the late James Leonard Miller and Eva Marjorie (Pitt) Miller. Bob lived his entire life on the Kingston Peninsula and retired as Captain of the Romeo and Juliette ferry. He had a wide variety of interests, including gardening, painting, writing, music and spending time with his many friends. Bob was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He will be remembered by his nieces and nephews: Patsy (Doug) McKinney of Rothesay, Jim (Sheila) Miller of Elmsville, Stephen (Lori) Miller of Saint John, Bill (Karla) Miller of Summerville, Mary Mallory of Saint John, Leonard (Janet) Miller of Saint John, Della (Len) Day of Elmsville and his many great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his brothers: Jack Miller and wife Frances and Alan Miller and wife Bobbie, niece June Miller. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, 634-7424. A Memorial Service will be held at Bayswater-Summerville United Church, 1891 Route 845, Summerville, NB on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 2:00pm. Remembrances may be made to Bayswater-Summerville United Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
