Obituary of Douglas Allen Manning

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Douglas Allan Manning announces his passing, which occurred Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital following a brief illness.  Born in Fredericton, N.B., he was the adopted son of Patricia (Lawlor) and the late Norman Manning.

Doug is survived by his partner Mairi Melanson and daughter Angel Manning; former wife Gina Betts-Manning; mother Patricia (Lawlor) Manning; brothers Daniel (Millie), Wallace (Margaret), David (Michelle), nephews, nieces and greatnephews.  Also his birth mother Susan (Todd) Fraser and brother Christopher.

Doug is predeceased by his father.

A big man with a big heart, Doug was devoted to his family and always ready with a helping hand.  He will be sorely missed and long remembered.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424).  Visitation will take place Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM.  The family asks that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in lieu of flowers.  Online condolences may be made at www.BrenansFH.com.
