Obituary of Lena Ring O'Ree

The death of Lena Ring O'Ree, wife of the late John Albert Wesley O'Ree, of Rocmaura Nursing Home, occurred on August 8, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Jessie M. (Jarvis) Dickson. She was employed as a Psychiatric Nurse for over 30 years. She was a Life Member of PRUDE and received the New Brunswick Human Rights Award in 1998. She had a life long love of music having played the organ and piano enhancing many worship services over the years. She is survived by her sons Michael of Mexico, Vincent and his wife Judy of Saint John, David of Ottawa, Willis (Judy) of Ottawa, Charles of Montreal, her daughter Lorraine O'Ree of Saint John, her sister Esther Lewis of Ottawa, her eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her sons Jarvis and Roger and her grandson Mark predeceased her. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2003, at 10:30 AM, from Crescent Valley Gospel Center, 500 Somerset Street. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances made to Crescent Valley Gospel Center or the Alzheimer's Unit, Rocmaura Nursing Home, would be appreciated.
