The death of Gerard (Gerry) Gorman of 14 King Square South, Saint John, NB, husband of the late Bernice (Noonan) Gorman occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Friday, August 15, 2003. Gerry was born in Saint John on June 29, 1913, son of the late Harry and Mary (Garvin) Gorman and was a life-long resident of this city. He was a former member of St. Peter's, Holy Trinity and St. Pius X Parishes. For the past ten years he has attended the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Parish. Gerry was president of Gorman-Cain Insurance Adjusters Ltd. for many years. He also was a former general manager of the Saint John Harbour Bridge Authority. In addition, Gerry actively participated in several community groups and organizations. Gerry is survived by his daughter Eileen (Roger) of Thunder Bay, ON, and sons G. Patrick (Dorothy) of Saint John, Brian (Jill) of Miramichi, John (Nancy) of Saint John and Raymond (Shirley) of Saint John. Devoted grandfather of Mary (Geoff), Joseph (Jillian), Erin (Ron), Kerry (Mark), Tracy (Bob), Kori (Brian), Christopher, Michelle (Hao), Margaret (Stuart), Kathleen, Elizabeth, Harry, Sean (Lois), Meghan, and Kathryn. Proud great-grandfather of Gabrielle, Garett, Cailin, Mya, Zachary, Brandon, Kyra, Kamryn and Sarah. He will be sadly missed by his brother-in-law, Eric Noonan, and sister-in-law, Sister Marion Noonan (C.N.D.), both of Montreal, PQ. Gerry was predeceased by his daughter, Bernice, and in childhood by his sister, Eileen. We treasured Dad's inner strength, gentle ways and generous heart. We will miss him.
