Obituary of Glendon Patrick McNulty
The untimely death of Pat McNulty husband of Ann (Maynes) McNulty, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Wednesday, September 03, 2003 following injuries from a tragic vehicle accident Sunday morning. He passed away with his loving wife, mother and much of his family at his side. Born in Saint John, NB, February 16, 1959, Pat was the son of Cecilia (MacDonald) and the late David A. McNulty. He was an energetic community volunteer especially with the Saint John Outreach Clinic, was an active member of many parishes over the years in the area and served as a lay-reader at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception recently. Pat was a graduate of St. Malachy's Memorial High School, received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of New Brunswick and his Bachelor of Social Work from St. Thomas University. His career with the Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation, Region II spanned many years most recently as a dedicated Social Worker at Centracare. Pat's pleasures in life were simple and he carried them through from childhood; reading, music, swimming and hiking most of which he enjoyed daily at Rockwood Park. He will be sadly missed by his wife of eleven years Ann, nine siblings: Allan (Sharon), Joseph (Sue), Janet (Mrs. Brian Johnston), Ann (Mrs. James McLeese), Theresa (Mrs. Ron Watters) all of Saint John, NB, Gregory (Mary Ellen), Chatham, NB, Brian , Milton, ON, Lois Gauvin, ON, Mary McNulty, Victoria, BC, sisters-in-law; Leilani (Mrs. Barry McNulty), Fairbanks, Alaska, Joan Maynes, Ottawa, ON, Marie Bailey, Toronto, ON, Susan Maynes, Pickering, ON, brothers-in-law, Dr. Douglas (Jane) Maynes, Halifax, NS, John-David Maynes, Toronto, ON, uncles, aunts and cousins. Pat is also survived by numerous, nieces and nephews whom he was so very fond of. Besides his father, Pat is predeceased by his brother Barry and infant brother Michael. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), Saint John, NB with visiting on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. only and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Saturday, September 6, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. with interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Westmorland Rd. Remembrances may be made to Romero House or a charity of the Donor's Choice.
