Obituary of Margaret Oneta Collins
The death of Ms. Margaret Oneta Collins of Stephenson Towers, formerly of Bains Corner occurred on Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Havelock, NB, she was the daughter of the late George and Jessie (Moore) Collins. Margaret was employed as a nurses assistant on the maternity ward at the Saint John General Hospital and Saint John Regional Hospital, 14 years at the TB Hospital, 10 years at a nursing home in Torryburn and private duty nursing. She is survived by one son R. Douglas (Ellen) Collins of Gondola Pt, two sisters Geraldine (Wesley) Grozik of Fairfield, Valerie (John) Conway of Calgary, Alberta, one brother-in-law William Tibbetts of Saint John, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by one brother Douglas and two sisters Daphne Collins, Shirley Tibbetts. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, August 21, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Friday, August 22, 2003 from 2-4 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2003 from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment will be held in Brown's Cemetery Bains Corner. Remembrances may be made to Bains Corner Cemetery.
