Obituary of Freda Faye Kilpatrick

The death of Mrs. Freda Faye Kilpatrick, of Sunnybrook Terrace, Saint John, wife of the late Robert M. Kilpatrick, occurred on Saturday, June 21, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Born in Bloomfield, NB, on April 25, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Medley and Orrilla (Purdy) Provan. Mrs. Kilpatrick was an adherent of Edith Avenue Baptist church and in her younger years she was an organist and soloist for many country churches. She will be sadly missed. She is survived by three daughters, Thelma Tays, Pauline Coates and Doreen Smith, all of Saint John, two grandchildren, Eldon Smith (Gayle) of Saint John and Karla Tays-Dunphy (David) of Toronto, ON, two great-grandchildren, Laura and Geoffrey Smith and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sisters. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at 2:00 PM. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
