Obituary of Rowena Frances Sewell

The death of Rowena Frances (Bradshaw) Sewell of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Nelson John Sewell occurred on Thursday, October 23, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Rowena was born in St. Martins, NB; she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Bessie (Davidson) Bradshaw. She was a Registered Nurse at the East Saint John County Hospital for many years. Rowena is survived by one son, Donald Osmond (Christine); two grand-daughters, Kelli Dawn (Robin) Lawrence and Tanya Lyn (Duane) Godsoe; two great-grandchildren, Sydney Lyn Godsoe and Julia Elizabeth Lawrence; two sisters-in-law, Olive Bradshaw and Betty Sewell; one half brother, Raymond and nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by two brothers, David and Osmond. By request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be held at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424 on Monday, October 27, 2003 at 11 am. A private family graveside interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, Oct 28, 2003. Donations made to the Salvation Army or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
