Obituary of Jacqueline Anne Noftell
The death of Mrs. Jacqueline Anne (Jackie) (nee Northorp) Noftell, of Bains Corner, NB, wife of the late Ronald A. Noftell, occurred on Friday, May 23, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Malcolm) Northorp. In her younger years, Jackie had been employed with Simms Brush Factory, and at the Turnbull Home and Ridgewood Veterans Wing. She is survived by two sons, Barry Northorp and Robert Noftell (Crystal), both of Saint John, one daughter, Tanya Smith (Wilfred) of Saint John, one brother, Murray “Buddy” Northorp (Theresa) and one sister, Eleanor Dupere (Adrien), both of Saint John, one grandson, Matthew James Smith, one granddaughter, Jenna Noftell, as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her husband and parents, and brothers, Carl D. and Robert A. By request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 26, 2003 at 1:00 PM from Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506) 634-7424. Interment will take place at Browns Cemetery, Bains Corner, NB. A reception will follow the burial at Bains Corner United Church Hall. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
