Obituary of Allan F. O'Brien
The death of Allan F. O'Brien, husband of the late Margaret Christine (Allen) O'Brien, occurred on August 20, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late John Joseph and Elizabeth (Fulton) O'Brien. He served with the Canadian Army during WW II. He was employed with the National Harbours Board Police and retired from Parker D. Mitchell Ltd. He is survived by his sons Leigh and Paul and his wife Elizabeth, his daughters Kathy O'Brien, Diane and her husband Chris Hewitt, Lynn and her husband Gilles Heppell, all of Saint John, his sister Jean Harper of Toronto, his grandchildren Lisa, Jennifer and Trisha Heppell and Leanne and Allison O'Brien, and several nieces and nephews. His brothers William, Harold, John, and Gerald O'Brien and his sisters Marie Wilson, Helen McKinnon, Madeline McCarthy and Florence McCavour have predeceased him. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, August 22, 2003, at 10:00 AM, from Brenan's Chapel. Following cremation interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery. The family would appreciate remembrances made to the charity of the donor's choice.
