Obituary of Phyllis L. Guidry
The death of Phyllis L. Guidry of Red Head Rd., Saint John, NB occurred on Sunday, May 18, 2003 at her residence following a lengthy illness. Born in Saint John, NB daughter of the late Wilbert and Mabel (Wardell) Bean. Phyllis had been an active member of Red Head United Church, singing in the Choir, a member of the U.C.W. and for many years working in the Sunday School. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #14. She was predeceased by her husband, Allison E. Guidry; her brother, Donald and her parents. She is survived by two daughters, Carol and her partner Wendy of New York and Shirley (Adrian) Bird; one sister, Beryl Kirkpatrick; one brother, Douglas (Norma); two grandchildren and their partners, Leo & Gena and Allison & Kelly; one great-grandchild, Nathan-Lee and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506)634-7424, with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2 ? 4 PM & 7 ? 9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 21st, 2003 at 1:00 PM from Brenan's Chapel. A reception will follow at Red Head United Church. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery Extension. Remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Red Head United Church or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
