Obituary of Bernice Irene Johnson

The death of Bernice I. Johnson, wife of the late Walter Sandy Johnson and Robert Francis McCann, occurred on October 31, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late James Allan and Ruby Irene (McDevitt) Price. She was a former member of St. James Anglican Church, Broad Street. She was an avid bowling enthusiast and enjoyed dancing. She is survived by her son Robert A. (Butch) McCann and his wife Rosella of Hampton, her daughters Deborah Jeanette McIntrye of Hampton, Denise Johnson (Danilo) of Saint John, her sister Jeanette Watson and her husband Michael of Saint John, her grandchildren Mark and Justin McCann, Benjamin and Natasha Horgan and Jaime and Christian Johnson, her great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her brothers Charles, James, Frank and Bernard and her sister Connie predeceased her. At her request there will be no visiting or funeral service. Following cremation at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), there will be a family graveside service at Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
