Obituary of Lawrence Reginald Betts
Lawrence Reginald "Larry" Betts The death of Lawrence Reginald "Larry" Betts, of Saint John East, husband of Elizabeth (Weaver) Betts, occurred on Friday, January 24, 2003, at his residence. Born in Minto, NB, he was the son of the late Ephraim and Mabel (Dykeman) Betts. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Craig (Marilyn) of Saint John, one daughter, Wanda Walsh (Randal) of Stittsville, ON, four grandchildren, David Betts, Sarah, Kevin and Sean Walsh, two brothers, Spurgeon (Alta) of Minto and Marven (Gretchen) of Fredericton, one sister, Mildred McPhee of Windsor, ON, his mother-in-law, Mary Weaver of Saint John, two sisters-in-law, Priscilla Taylor of Victoria Harbour, ON and Winifred Weaver of Saint John, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Everett and two sisters, Ina and Marie. By request there will be no visiting at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at St. Mary-St. Bartholomew Church, 648 Westmorland Road, Saint John, on Monday, January 27, 2003, at 2:30 PM. Interment will take place in the spring. No flowers by request, remembrances to St. Mary-St. Bartholomew Church Paving Fund, Extra Mural Hospital Foundation or the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
