Obituary of Florence Marie Hayes

The death of Florence Marie Hayes, wife of the late Frederick (Pud) S. Hayes, occurred on February 26, 2003, at the Church of St. John & St. Stephen Home. Born on Surette Island, NS, she was the daughter of the late Ludger and Genevive (Muise) Surette. She was a long time resident of Taylor Lake and the Loch Lomond Road. She loved fly fishing on Taylor. She was an avid Race Track Fan and loved Bingo. She is survived by her daughters Jean A. and her husband Bernard Quinlan of Saint John, Evelyn M and her husband Calvin Patterson of Edmonton, ALBT, her grandchildren Gail Friars (Glen), Sandra Blackadar (Eric), Gary Patterson (Debbie) and Kim Sydora, her nine great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Alphonse Surette and her sister Martha McDermott. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 28, 2003, at 11:00 AM, from St. Joseph's Church, Loch Lomond Road. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
