Obituary of Sharon Grannan
The death of Sharon Grannan of Clarendon Street, Saint John, wife of James T. Grannan, occurred unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Columbus, Ohio, on March 24, 1950, she was the daughter of Shirley V. (Lucas) Flint of Saint John and the late Robert B. Flint. Sharon was very active with the University and helped raise money for Shine-arama. She loved music, especially the piano and the accordion. She was a great wife and mother, who often put the well being of her family before her own. We'll miss you Mom; your love, you're song, as we wish you a fond and loving farewell. Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by one son, James R. L. Grannan and one daughter, Sharon Elizabeth “Betsy” Grannan, both at home, one brother, Joseph B. Flint (Alicia) and their children, Curtis and Makayla, of Saint John and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Church, Clarendon Street, on Saturday, June 21, 2003, at 12:00 Noon.
