Obituary of Mildred Jean Wilson
The death of Mildred Jean Wilson formerly of 308 Lowell Street, Saint John West, wife of the late George Cushing Wilson, occurred on Wednesday, August 20, 2003, at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Edgar M. and Elizabeth Tremont (Miller) Lyman. Mrs. Wilson was formerly employed with the Maritime Religious Education Council and later was the secretary at the Atlantic Baptist Convention Office until her retirement. She was a member of the Sunshine Class of Hillcrest Baptist Church and in her younger years was an active member of Charlotte Street Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Ian and his wife Patricia of Saint John, three grandchildren, Christopher Wilson of Saint John, Andrew Wilson (Nadine) of Halifax, NS and Elizabeth Wilson also of Halifax, NS, one niece, Heather Coady of Halifax, NS and several cousins. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 23, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances to the Saint John Free Public Library or the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
