Obituary of James E. Nichols
The death of James E.(Eddie) Nichols, of Rothesay, NB, husband of the late Mary Frances (Morrison) Nichols, occurred on Monday, May 12, 2003 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late William and Ethel (Andrews) Nichols. Mr. Nichols was an Auto Body Mechanic working for many years at various companies including Downey Motors and Lawson Motors. He was an RCMP Auxiliary Member in Summerside, PEI, served in the Navy for several years and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by his children, Penny Hanlon (Peter) of Fredericton, Michael Nichols of Saint John, Nancy Keenan (Bobby) of Saint John, David Nichols (Stella) of Toronto, ON and Suzanne Caines (Chris) of Rothesay, one brother, Jack Nichols one sister, Isabelle Vienneau, both of Saint John, grandchildren, Jeremy, Josh, Angie, Jillian, Ashley, Colton, Gracen, Shawn and Morgan, one great grand-daughter, Justine and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Arthur and William and two sisters, Marion Raid and Marjorie Kincade. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-74240, with visiting on Tuesday 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church on Thursday, May 15, 2003 at 2:00 PM. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
