Obituary of William R. Connell

The death of William R. Connell, of 74 Germain Street, Saint John, husband of the late Susan (Janes) Connell, occurred on Sunday, June 29, 2003, at his residence. Born in Saint John, on November 29, 1909, he was the son of the late William and Bessie (McEachern) Connell. Mr. Connell was employed with the Bank of Montreal for many years before his retirement in 1972. He was a member of St. John Baptist (Mission Church) St. Clement and had attended the Cathedral. He is survived by one son, Robert (Laureen) of Burlington, ON, one daughter, Joan Marie Stewart of Framingham, Mass., three grandchildren, David Stewart of Columbia, SC and Jane Powell, Alan Connell, and two great grandchildren, Christopher and Ryan Powell all of Hamilton Ont. and two special friends, John and Agnes Addison of Saint John, NB. He was predeceased by one brother, Arthur. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held from Brenans Funeral Home, Monday, July 7, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances to St. John Baptist (Mission Church) St. Clement or the charity of the donors choice.
