Obituary of George Joseph Sauvé
The death of Mr. George Joseph Sauvé, of Gagetown Nursing Home, formerly of Bains Corner, NB, husband of the late Marjorie (Arbeau) (nee Doak) Sauvé, occurred on Monday, February 17, 2003 at his residence. Born at St. Raphael's, Ontario, he was the son of the late Medie and Victoria (Brunet) Sauvé. For many years, George had been employed as a foreman in the construction industry, from where he retired. George was a member of Bains Corner United Church. He is survived by two step-sons, Bob and Alvin Arbeau, both of Saint John, two sons, Gary and James, four daughters, Sandra (Mrs. Herb Couture), Pat (Mrs. Joey Reid), Miss Georgette Sauvé, and Anna Lisa MacCollum, all of Ontario, two sisters, Cecile (Mrs. Armand Menard) of Alexandria, Ontario, and Irene (Mrs. Raymond Lereaux) of Pointe Clair, PQ, 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie, and his son, Grant. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506) 634-7424, with visitation on Wednesday and Thursday from 7-9 PM only. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2003 at 11:00 AM from Bains Corner United Church. Interment will take place at Browns Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated. www.brenansfh.com
