Sheri (Palmer) Hatton posted a condolence

Words like thoughtful, humble, helpful, consistent, steadfast and caring come to my mind when I think about Bentley. I was about eight years old when my Grandmother, Bernice Palmer and Bentley were friends. My Mother and I lived in the states at the time, and would come home to visit. Bentley was striking. He commanded attention quietly. He smiled and enjoyed the life around him, and never quieted us 'active' children down. He seemed to enjoy and encourage our spirits. He was an important type of man to be exposed to as a young person. When I saw him about four years ago, he was exactly the same caring person, only with grey hair. big smile. I am saddened knowing that he no longer walks the Earth. To his family and friends, we are all better for having his subtle breeze blow over our faces. Sheri

It is with a heavy heart my family says good bye to one of our dearest of friends, which I referred to as “Uncle Bentley”. What I will miss more than anything is how he would faithfully call my father and they would sit and talk for hours on the phone in their back home Bajan/Guyanese slang! Uncle Bentley was a gentle soul and always honored us by attending family functions. Words cannot express the loss we feel for our gentle friend, so on behalf of the Seales' Family and his devoted friend Vid, we will celebrate your memory Boy! God Bless and rest in eternal peace. “We love you Bentley!”
